Ciate-pocket money

This Ciate-worth £9- came free with may's edition of Marie claire which cost only £3.80. Bargain!!
The camera on my phone doesn't seem to wish to pick up the rosy fudge tones and instead presenting it as a strange peach hybrid of which, it is not! this colour 'Pocket Money,' is a wonderful pinky taupe, perfect for spring!
the Ciate brush is a breeze to use and the colour was opaque in 1 thick or 2 thin coats, as usual i used my Sally Hansen hard as nails as top and base coat, the formula seemed to dry easily and i felt it has a similar consistency as Essie and seemed to peel off in big chunks after a few days, however I have my hands in water frequently and this would accelerate normal wear and tear, overall brilliant chocolaty pink colour for most seasons and a wonderful neutral!
~thanks!~

NYC expert last nail polish-city blackout

I bought this polish and 'fine red wine' after seeing my friend's nails that looked sooo nice wearing fine red wine, a juicy wine colour, I just had to get some NYC nail polish, as I had formally dismissed it as a low quality brand (more fool me!) and WOW! This picture really doesn't do the polish justice! Super shiny, super black and super opaque in only 2 coats, what more can a girl ask for? Only costing £2.49 a pop this NYC polish is a must have essential!
applies smoothly with minimal cuticle flooding and a completely streak free finish!
I will swatch fine red wine by next week and let you know if city blackout lived up to it's longwear claim! :) smiles all round!
thankyyyouuh!

17 Lasting fix nail polish review

17 Lasting Fix nail polish in shade AMARETTO-
I bought this polish for £1.50 at boots however i believe it is a limited edition shade from Christmas 2012 normally costing £3, i have seen them online for this and i think they may still be available through some websites-on to the review-
First of all I love the colour! A beautiful mulled wine-y colour with a wonderful iridescent gold sparkle that is subtle enough to be sophisticated! this polish gave a rich shiny finish and great coverage in just 2 coats, it really does fix to the nails however there was some chip wear on the second day, and it did take a while to dry. I used Sally Hansen hard as nails as a top and base coat as i have genetically weak and brittle nails unfortunately!  Overall this is a perfect festive polish for autumn winter and would look great with your LBD!
Thanks for reading!

Max factor-Max effect Nail polish review

*MORE SWATCHES TO COME*

One of my current favorites are the Max effect/Glossfinity mini nail polishes by max factor, I have only got a small collection of  5 at them moment, Diva coral, Cloudy blue, DIVA VIOLET(shown in picture), Dazzling-blue and Angel nails but I would definitely buy more given the funds haha! they give a bright even colour and have minimal cuticle flooding, however they chip quite easily at the tips and require minor daily touch-ups the polish lasts for a good 4 days with the Glossfinity lasting about a day longer, I would definitely recommend a base coat with the Glossfinity colours as they leave a slight staining on the nail.
One problem I found with the max-effects is they seem to peel off in large chunks after about 4 days, however this could be down to the top and base coat I use, Sally Hansen Double duty strengthening base and top coat.
:D
Overall a 3.5* out of  5*s
Diva coral with Diva violet spots for Easter!

Dazzling blue, lasts amazingly well and has a wonderful iridescent sheen

Barry M Nail paint review

I had heard a lot of good reviews on Barry M's nail paint, with the finish being compared to Essie and with it being £2.99 instead of Essie's £7.99 I thought why not?
the image shows the colour *Shocking pink*- shade 272, however underneath the polish I had applied some Sally Hansen nail strengthening wraps which is why the finish is quite un-even.
the pro's of Barry M's Nail paint are:
  • Very shiny finish!
  • Glides on nicely and evenly
  • can achieve the desired coverage with 1 or 2 coats without it being thick and gloopy
  • Wide range of colours
  • Value for money- 10ml of quality polish for only £2.99!
Cons:
  • wasn't as fast drying as some other polishes like Rimmel and I made a few smudges
Overall 4*/5*  I can't wait to try the Hi-shine Gelly polish!!
